Moa and Kin, a boutique family-owned enterprise, was founded by a team of close friends and partners with a shared passion for offering personalised, friendly, and expert short-term let services. Originally flourishing in the picturesque UK cities of Bath and Bristol, our brand has always been about more than just managing properties; it’s about creating memorable experiences for both owners and guests.

Our journey began over a decade ago, driven by Jonny Baylis in the UK. Drawing from his extensive travel experiences and successful background in organising global Christian pilgrimages, Jonny envisioned a unique Airbnb management company that prioritises client care and exceptional service.

Inspired by his travels and admiration for New Zealand, Jonny named the brand after the majestic Moa, a native New Zealand bird, symbolising the strength and distinctiveness we bring to property management.

Building on this foundation, our team expanded into Australia with the expertise and passion of Thomas Bielby, a seasoned lawyer and Jonny’s close friend. Thomas’ legal acumen and dedication to property management have played a pivotal role in replicating our model’s success in Australia’s vibrant towns such as Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and the Sunshine Coast. Together, they embody the essence of Moa and Kin – combining professional expertise with a personal touch.
